Sofia Poindexter
Deep Tissue Massage Therapist
Hi, I’m Sofia Poindexter!
I’m a massage therapist and graduate of Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, specializing in deep tissue and therapeutic bodywork. My approach to massage is gentle, caring, and highly intuitive. I believe deep work doesn’t have to feel aggressive to be effective, and I love finding that balance between creating a space where my clients can truly relax while still addressing the tension, restriction, and areas of the body that need attention.
Intuition plays a huge role in the way I work. Every body is different, and I pay close attention to what I’m feeling beneath my hands, how the body responds to pressure, and the subtle cues that tell me when an area needs more attention or when it’s time to move on. Rather than following the exact same routine with every client, I allow each session to unfold around what their body is asking for that day.
My goal is for my clients to leave feeling cared for, grounded, and noticeably different in their bodies, not only relaxed, but like meaningful bodywork was accomplished.
Outside of massage, I’m happiest near the ocean or spending time with my friends. I’m also deeply involved in the creative arts, and when I’m not in the treatment room, I’m continuing to develop my craft as an actor, filmmaker, and writer. Creativity and connection are both huge parts of who I am, and I bring that same curiosity, presence, and attentiveness into my work as a massage therapist.
